Safety & Use Info
- Breathing and Airflow: You need to be careful with your baby in a baby carrier - just like you are when you place your baby in a crib. Your baby carrier isn't a babysitter.
- Position your baby so that the he/she has good air flow. Do not allow your baby’s chin to sag down to her/his chest as this could block the baby’s air passages. When carrying young babies in a reclining position, always carry the baby face up. Do not allow anything around the baby’s face which may restrict the baby’s ability to breathe or cause the baby to breathe exhaled air – this is particularly important for premature babies, infants, and very small, very young, and/or very weak babies, and/or if you have large breasts.
- Remember to check your baby's breathing regularly. your baby falls asleep in your baby carrier, verify that baby is breathing normally. When tightening your baby carrier, do not tighten it so much that baby’s breathing could be restricted.

Since my 2nd son was born we have been using the Maya ring sling and we would have gone crazy without it. He was usually fussy right after a feeding and we would put him in it and walk around and bounce him in the sling. About 10minutes later he would be asleep. Depending if it was night or day, we would put him in his bed or just keep him in the sling and go about with our day. It takes some time to get used to always having him with you, but it gets easier and you will miss it when you are not wearing him. It packs easily for travel, unlike a stroller. The fabric is of excellent quality and awesome colours to choose from. LOVE IT, I think it is essential, either if it's your 1st child or not. I also carry my 18 months old son and he loves it too.
